A rant about other fandoms, butthurt about MAMA

(Please keep in mind that not every fan of these fandoms are like this.)

So today, in Singapore, the MAMA Awards were being presented.

In total, Super Junior won 3, becoming the biggest winner of the night. In most of these categories, BIGBANG and TVXQ! were also nominated, but they didn’t win against Super Junior.
 You’d think everything would be cool. Yes, it sucked that they didn’t win, but hey, TVXQ! is family and BIGBANG already won EMA. But no. Of course not. Nothing is ever okay with some people.

In no time, tweets and message have been posted online by VIPs saying MNet had to kiss SME’s ass. And that they couldn’t let BIGBANG or 2NE1 win because of this. Immediately, they started attacking our boys and saying that they don’t deserve that award, that BIGBANG had to go through a lot this year and that Super Junior didn’t even have to do anything because of SM’s support.

And then there are the Cassiopeia.

The hate from the Cassies, literally, physically hurt. They are family. We are Yin and Yang, Pearl Red and Sapphire Blue, the center of the Korean flag, DongBangSuperJunior, etc.
 But for some reason, Cassie don’t seem to think the same way…? Ruin it for ELFs and saying that the MAMA awards don’t matter because TVXQ! already made accomplishments Super Junior can never surprass. (This counts for BIGBANG too)
 We’re family. Can’t you be happy for us? Where did that strong bond go, guys?

To these people, just to shut them up, I have a few things to say:

• BIGBANG did win EMAs and that was a big accomplishment. But aren’t you forgetting that they didn’t just win because of VIPs? Did you forgt that other fandoms stood up all night to vote for BIGBANG as well? To help them win? Without the other fandoms, your victory wouldn’t have been so sure.
• MAMA kissing SM’s ass? If that were true, don’t you think SNSD would have been the big winner of the night and not Super Junior? SM is biased towards SNSD after all.
• Part of the MAMA ratings were album sales. We ELFs saved money and bought albums like there was no tomorrow, we supported them without hestitating, without holding back. THAT is what made them win.
• BIGBANG went through a lot, that’s true. But Super Junior went through even more. Alcohol abuse allegations, car accidents, members (temporarily) leaving the group, being shunned by their company, enlistments, scandals, everything. Not just this year, but every single year, Super Junior has it rough. So don’t you dare bitch about them having it cozy. Ever.
• If MAMA was so biased why did 2NE1 win those awards and not SNSD?
• Cassies, you have it especially rough, we get it. 3 out of 5 members leaving the company, we know this. We feel your pain. We are family. We ourselves are missing 4 members and by the beginning of next year there will be 2 more members gone. We seriously know how you feel. We supported you through times of trouble, we Always Keep The Faith, we have respect for DBSK like no other fandom than yourselves have. So WHY? Why not be happy with us? Why not be happy for us? Why the need to spoil the light we wanted to bring our Leader before he enlists? Why spoil the motivation we wanted to give to the other members to keep fighting even if Leader isn’t there…?

I love both groups so much, so it really hurt to see the fandoms behave this way.

VIPs, Cassies… Where did your love go? We always loved you.. So why won’t you return the favor?

Another notable victory: The first-ever Worldwide Act was won by Korean band BigBang, the nominee representing the Asia Pacific region. This marks the first time the EMA has handed out an award that was judged by fans all across the entire globe.  

SOO PROUD OF BIGBANG WINNING THE EMA!!!! I THINK ITS THE FIRST TIME IN KPOP HISTORY THAT ALL US FANDOMS UNITE AND CELEBRATE AND PROUD TOGETHER! ITS REALLY SUCH A BEAUTIFUL PERFECT MOMENT. SO PROUD OF BIGBANG! SUCK IT BRITNEY!
